Pre-Booked Programmes

These programmes are designed for more specific and/or sensitive needs in our community. If you would like to help with, or think you could benefit from, any of the programmes below, please contact Phil Chapman at phil.chapman@onecollective.org.

Women’s Support Initiative

This initiative began with Lioness Rising, our women’s empowerment course. An 8 week course run a few times a year, this course is designed for women who have experienced abuse. Through engaging activities and open discussions, we delve into self-discovery and cultivate skills for building healthy relationships.

“{Lioness Rising} is slowly helping me in finding peace within myself in spite of whatever my surroundings project on me.”

- Lioness Rising participant

Men’s Support Initiative

The Men’s support initiative began with a men’s support group that met once a week. It has now grown into one of our largest programmes, supporting men from a nearby rehab center as well as others.

Jungle Boxes

One of the biggest challenges for our community is financial instability. That is why we offer Jungle boxes. Through a referral, local families receive, for free, essential toiletries such as nappies, shampoo and loo roll.

“{They}have said it just keeps them going. It is the fact that it gives them hope. They are really thankful people are thinking about them.”

-Lisa Vernan (about the Jungle Boxes Programme)

20’s -30’s Social

This is a space for individuals in their 20’s-30’s to connect to the community. At our once a month gathering, we play games, hang out, and build friendships in an ncreasingly individualised world. If you are a young adult looking for community, please reach out to us!

Mentorship

Through a partnership with Redeeming Our Communities (ROC), Jungle Mentorship pairs those in our community with life experience with those looking for guidance and coaching. Through a process of at least 6 months, trained mentors help their participants set goals and achieve those goals.

Partnerships

At the Jungle we are passionate about bringing people together, this includes other local charities who are already doing good work. These charities can simply use our space to run their own programmes, but they have also helped us run programmes such as the Art Gym and Jungle Mentorship.
